Family Day Weekend & The Reklaws

It’s an annual long weekend celebration when plaid and blue jeans are mandatory. The Lumberjack and Jill themed Family Day weekend is full of fun family activities, log rolling competitions, fireworks and must-see live music. This year brother and sister duo The Reklaws will bring their addictive pop-country sound to the Coors Banquet Great Hall stage. Their hit song Long Live the Night was most the streamed song in all Canadian Country music released in 2018. Nominated for Best Country Album in the 2019 JUNO Music Awards, The Reklaws will have you dancing the night away so be sure to pack your cowboy boots.

Elk Run and Riot

The hottest après spot right at the heart of the resort, the T-Bar & Grill is the place for late night live music sessions. Don’t miss high energy folk-rock four-piece Elk Run & Riot when they take the stage on February 17. The band have carved out a unique sound all their own. Heavily laden with intricate harmonies, catchy melodies and captivating lyrics Elk Run & Riot tell true stories about what life is like in the mountains and will have you tearing up the dancefloor late into the night.

If you love a snowy freestyle session with a side of friendly competition, then this is your kind of dance floor. If you ski or snowboard, throw down your favourite combo in the custom mini park. If you’re on the dance team, i’ll see you on the sidelines. These events are always epic. Skiers and snowboarders will compete within their category to claim the top spot in their division. Each rider will get at least two laps over rails, boxes, and jumps to impress the judges and win over the crowd. Prizes courtesy of the gentleman down at Syndicate Board shop.

Sip & Savour Winemakers Dinner Series

This three-part winemaker series features perfectly paired menus in collaboration with some of the finest wineries in BC and Western USA. Panorama’s culinary director, David Auer and Executive Chef Steven Doucet celebrate the best of seasonal and local produce in the sumptuous four-course menus. Just 40 seats are available at each of these intimate events. The upcoming second dinner in the series (February 26) features special guest winemaker Mark Hopley of Hester Creek Estate Winery who will expose your palate and expand your knowledge with a carefully curated selection of wines from one of the oldest estates in the Okanagan. Reservations are essential as these popular events sell out quickly. Information for the March 21 dinner featuring BC’s famous La Stella and Le Vieux Pin will be released later this month.

High Notes Music Festival

Now in its third year the High Notes Music Festival features some of Canada’s best emerging independent artists. This year’s lineup sees bands from the waters of the East to the mountains in the West fill the resort with the sweet sounds of folk, rock, blues, pop and country. Catch JUNO nominees The Jerry Cans as they bring their uniquely catchy mix of Inuktitut alt-country style and the sounds of Canada’s far north to the stage, alongside Diyet & The Love Soldiers, Tiger Moon, Derina Harvey Band and acclaimed BC tenor Ken Lavigne. The festival kicks off each year with a special music, food and wine pairing at Restaurant ElevenFIFTY that is not to be missed. The festival is a mix of free and ticketed events over two days and nights. You’ll find your rhythm at High Notes and discover some incredible Canadian up-and-coming talent.

For those who seek new adventures on the mountain, this will be one fun and exciting chance to ride fast and aggressive. Charge down and around this creative banked slalom course specially designed for snowboarders and mountain bikers. To all the berm loving and snow shredding riders, this is your chance to tear it up on an unfamiliar track and get a little more technical. Cruise around each gate on the slalom course while racing against the clock. It’s not very often that you are given the opportunity to ride your bike on a ski run, let alone in a race!

Super Hero SunFest 

April 13 & 14

The celebration to end the season. Every year Panorama farewells winter and welcomes the coming summer with one final party of the snow season. The piste de resistance is the Panorama Slush Showdown where some riders will become heroes and others will simply end up cold and wet as they try to skim across the custom-made pond on their skis or snowboard. You can put your endurance and speed to the test in the Peak to Valley Challenge. Register with your fastest family and friends or compete solo in this timed, leg-burning, slalom race from the summit to the base. Send off the final day of the season and see some super creative creations in the Dummy Downhill. An event where competitors send their hand-crafted dummies down Panorama’s crash course and hope for the best. Prizes are awarded to best crash, best dummy, and biggest air. It’s a hilarious way to end the weekend and the season.
